Avard Hale Goes To London
This 170-page 5½x 8½-inch book is the second in a series of humorous murder mysteries of “who done it” books. The groundwork for each is laid in the previous book (s) in this series. Solving the murder in Death On The Lakeshore has Avard discovering a large fighting knife and letters from a Jeremy Bloomfield in London. The reward money from that book sees Avard and Doris going to London and Avard following up on the knife found in the Jeremy home. One set of circumstances quickly leads to many other strange circumstances. The death of a very wealthy Londoner and a big reward for solving a 30-yr murder takes Avard down the road to discovery. As with all of Avard’s adventures, the ending is unexpected, has many twists and turns and provides a basis for 2 future books.
